SubCulture Recordings is accepting demos for 2027
SubCulture Recordings is a bass music label and community based in Groningen. We are always interested in hearing what people are working on and connecting with new artists, whether you have already released music or are only just getting started.
Our taste generally leans towards deeper, darker and more minimal sounds, ranging from drum & bass, dubstep and 140 to halftime, jungle, leftfield bass and everything in between. At the same time, we are not looking for music that fits neatly inside one box. We love strange ideas, experimental production and tracks that cross genre boundaries while still feeling connected to bass music.
We will always have a soft spot for artists from Groningen and the north of the Netherlands, but you can send us music from anywhere. Where you are from matters less than whether the music feels right for SubCulture.
Please listen to some of our recent releases before submitting. It makes it much easier for both you and us to know whether there could be a good fit.
Submission Guidelines
Title your tracks as Artist – Track Title (Demo/WIP)
Send a downloadable private SoundCloud playlist with downloads enabled
We prefer 6 to 10 tracks rather than a single demo
Finished tracks and works in progress are both welcome
WAV is preferred, but high-quality MP3 is also fine
Introducing yourself is not required, but definitely encouraged. A few lines about who you are, what you make and why you thought of SubCulture are always appreciated.

P.S. There is another label called Subculture that focuses on trance. That is not us, and we are not looking for trance demos.
